High School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences " Vasil Drumev " is celebrating its 35-year anniversary.

     Theses are three decades the school has been contributing to the complex scientific process of developing the student’s intellect and its successful realisation. The school’s high-grade comprehensive training and perfect conditions for mastering mathematical and natural sciences made it be rated among the best high schools not only in the region but also in the entire country.

     Everything began with one minister’s ordinance, issued on 27th May 1971: “… on 1st September a self-dependent High School of Mathematics must be established in the city of Veliko Turnovo”. On the indicated date the schools opened its doors for its first students - 6 classes in the first year, about 150 pupils in number. The teachers’ stuff included twelve carefully selected men and women. Only one of them is still in the school - Mr. Ivan Ivanov.

      The first headmaster of the High School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences “Vasil Drumev” is Nikola Visokov - a man with progressive thinking, who directed the school, he was put in charge of, to the heights of Bulgarian education. He realized how important the role of the computer science would be for educational and entire mankind’s prosperity.

Since there the school indicates incessant. The prizes won by the students came as a result of dedicated labour and that guarantees the school sunny future.
